  • Any individual or organization involved in manuscript handling, editorial decision-making, or publication activities.

3. Statement of Editorial Independence

JPADR maintains complete editorial independence in every aspect of manuscript handling, peer review, editorial evaluation, acceptance, rejection, correction, retraction, and publication.

Editorial decisions shall be based exclusively upon:

  • Scientific quality.
  • Methodological rigor.
  • Ethical compliance.
  • Originality and novelty.
  • Relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
  • Validity of scientific conclusions.
  • Contribution to pharmacovigilance and drug research.

Editorial decisions shall never be influenced by:

  • Sponsorship arrangements.
  • Institutional affiliations.

  • Religious beliefs.
  • Personal relationships.
  • Geographic origin of authors.

All manuscripts shall receive objective, impartial, and evidence-based editorial evaluation consistent with the journal's ethical standards.

4. Authority of the Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief possesses full and final authority over all editorial content and publication decisions within JPADR.

The Editor-in-Chief shall:

  • Ensure compliance with publication ethics.

Neither the publisher, journal owner, sponsoring institution, advertisers, funding organizations, nor any external stakeholder may override, modify, delay, or interfere with editorial decisions made by the Editor-in-Chief or delegated editors acting under journal policy.

5. Separation of Editorial and Commercial Functions

JPADR maintains a strict separation between editorial operations and commercial activities to preserve editorial independence and public trust.

Editorial personnel shall not participate in:

  • Advertising sales decisions.
  • Sponsorship negotiations.
  • Financial contracting with advertisers.
  • Commercial marketing decisions affecting editorial content.
  • Revenue-generating activities related to manuscript acceptance.

Similarly, advertisers, sponsors, commercial partners, and funding organizations shall have no influence over:

The purchase of advertisements, sponsorships, publication services, or any other commercial arrangement shall not guarantee publication or favorable editorial treatment.

6. Independence from Sponsoring Organizations

Where financial support, sponsorship, grants, institutional assistance, or other forms of external support are received, such support shall not influence the journal's editorial independence.

External support shall not influence:

7. Editorial Decision-Making Process

Guest Editors and Special Issue Editors are expected to operate under the same standards of editorial independence, objectivity, and ethical responsibility as all other editors.

To preserve editorial integrity:

  • Editorial oversight shall be maintained by the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Manuscripts submitted by Guest Editors shall be managed independently by another qualified editor.
  • All Special Issue manuscripts shall undergo the journal's standard peer-review procedures.
  • Editorial decisions shall remain independent of sponsorship or institutional affiliations associated with Special Issues.

The Editor-in-Chief retains final authority regarding acceptance, rejection, correction, or retraction of all manuscripts published in Special Issues.

Editors retain full editorial freedom regarding the publication of scholarly and editorial content that serves the scientific interests of the journal and its readership.

Editors may publish:
